SLM Suzuki Tunbridge Wells is looking for someone with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem solving to join our multi-brand workshop (Suzuki, Vauxhall and Bosch Car Services) as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic .

As a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic you will be working in a busy workshop environment, where you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing motor vehicles to the high standards of the Suzuki and Vauxhall brands. SLM Group takes pride in helping our employees to develop their knowledge through training opportunities.

The ideal candidate for our Vehicle Technician position will have strong communication skills to be able to work as part of the team. Previous main dealer experience is desirable as is an MOT licence, however training opportunities are available in order to progress to MOT Tester status.

Our Vehicle Technicians at SLM Suzuki work Monday to Friday.

What we’re looking for in a Vehicle Technician:
NVQ Level 3 in Light vehicle Repair or equivalent.
Ability to complete motor vehicle repairs and maintenance.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Willingness to work effectively within a team and ensure industry leading customer service.
Accuracy in using our online VHC Video system.
Strong communication skills to communicate effectively with colleagues.
Flexible ‘can do’ attitude.
Ability to use own initiative and work under minimum supervision.
