Assembly and CNC Technician to join a client building one-off fabrications for clients in the automotive and aerospace industry. Client requires an experienced manual machinist on mill/lathe. Machine Grinding experience ideally with disc changing qualification.

Responsibilities:

• Precision machining & fabrication – operating lathes, milling machines, and other workshop tools.
• Assembly & system integration – working with mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
• CNC setting, on machine programming, and operation experience. Ideally Siemens 828D/XYZ Prototrac. Understanding of G-Code
• Part inspection ability with hand tools ( vernier/mic ) and willing to learn CMM/Arm style machines.
• Precision part fitting
• Assist other technicians and engineers where needed with part/system assembly.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years commercial experience in a similar environment.
• CNC setting and programming (Siemens/G-code)
• Assembly and precision part fitting

In addition, nice to have:

• An appreciation of electrical safety and systems an advantage
• Willingness to occasionally help in site visits, either service or installation
• An appreciation of welding also useful
• UK driving license, ideally fork lift also or willing to learn
