My client is seeking a Service Charge Officer for a fixed-term opportunity to support the delivery of complete and accurate service charge information to our customers. This role is pivotal in maintaining the communal areas for properties and requires a candidate who can collaborate across various teams, showcasing problem-solving and analytical skills.
Day to Day of the Role:
Calculate and prepare estimated service charge budgets for properties in your designated area, issuing accurate statements to customers.
Conduct annual reconciliation of service charge accounts against estimates, applying balancing adjustments accurately, and informing customers.
Collate and analyse a variety of data, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and investigate any anomalies.
Provide excellent customer-focused service, acting as the first point of contact for service charge queries, offering resolutions to complex issues via phone or in writing.
Follow our hybrid working approach, combining home and office work, including Tuesdays in the office.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Demonstrated analytical skills with strong experience in Excel.
High attention to detail with good numeracy skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently, managing workload effectively under pressure.
Effective communication skills, confident in providing solutions to complex queries.
Previous experience in a service charge, accountancy, or housing environment is advantageous.
