We are seeking an experienced SBC (Session Border Controller) Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. This role will focus on configuring SBCs to a standard build and customizing these configurations to meet the specific needs of various clients. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with SBCs, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to collaborate with our team and stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure new SBCs to a defined standard build, ensuring all relevant settings and parameters are properly implemented.
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to tweak and adjust SBC configurations to suit individual client requirements.
Review client specifications and adapt configurations accordingly, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Provide troubleshooting, testing, and debugging for any issues that arise during the configuration process, ensuring smooth deployment.
Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for each configuration and customization, ensuring that handover to the internal team or client is seamless.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in configuring and managing SBCs (Session Border Controllers) such as Oracle, AudioCodes, or Ribbon.
Strong understanding of VoIP technologies, SIP protocols, and network security as they relate to SBCs.
Experience with configuration management, network troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and non-technical clients.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt SBC configurations to various business requirements.
Familiarity with network architecture, Firewalls, and encryption as it relates to SBCs.
Desirable Qualifications:
Previous experience in customizing SBCs for enterprise-level clients.
Knowledge of IP telephony, UCaaS, and other related communication technologies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and documentation purposes.
Contract Details:
Duration: 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
