I am currently seeking a skilled and experienced BMC Discovery SME to support technical implementation, system integration, and operational transition for large-scale projects. The role involves working closely with Project Managers, Technical Leads, and other stakeholders to deliver robust Discovery system architectures and integrations.

Contract length : 11+ months.

Key Responsibilities

• Implementation & Configuration: Deploy and configure Discovery systems in line with agreed technical requirements and design architecture.
• Architecture Development: Design Discovery architecture and implement data exchange systems for Air-Gapped networks.
• Security Compliance: Collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate security accreditation for Discovery applications and systems.
• Documentation: Create build and configuration documentation, as well as support the development of testing and training materials.
• Testing Support: Assist in Factory Acceptance and User Acceptance Testing phases.
• Operational Transition: Support the transition to operations post Go-Live, including handover to the Operations Team.

Mandatory requirement: PSCC/NATO Security Clearance – Valid until 2025 and able to be renewed.

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

• A university degree in Computer Engineering or a related field, or 5 years of equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 3 years of recent experience in large-scale deployments of BMC Discovery (version 22.x or higher).
• Experience with BMC Remedy ITSM CMDB configuration (version 20.02 or higher).
• ITIL 2011 (or later) Foundation certification is advantageous.
• Familiarity with BMC TrueSight Operations Management (version 10.x or higher) is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in implementing BMC Discovery in both single and multi-tenancy environments, including high availability designs.
• Expertise in integrating BMC Discovery with Remedy ITSM CMDB.
• Experience in configuring Discovery for Air-Gapped networks and performing deep discovery on diverse network and computing endpoints, with or without SNMP.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows server environments.
• Knowledge of infrastructure solutions hosting Service Management tools, including networking, hypervisors, storage, and load balancing.
• Experience integrating Discovery with TrueSight Orchestration (TSO) and external vendor systems for automated discovery triggers.
• Understanding of infrastructure solutions hosting Service Management tools and technology, including networking solutions, hypervisor solutions, storage solutions and load balancing solutions.
