Role: Packaging Machine Designer

Shift: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 (overtime available)

Salary: £40,000

Location: Dartford

Key Responsibilities:

• New Designs: Create new designs for upcoming projects.
• Update Designs: Revise and improve existing packaging machine designs.
• Drawings for Suppliers: Produce detailed drawings for external suppliers to obtain quotations and order parts.
• Shop Floor Support: Address queries from the shop floor where machines are assembled and parts are manufactured.
• Sales Department Support: Create layouts for the sales team and technical data sheets for new projects.
• Customer Visits: Assist the sales department with technical visits to customers for new projects.
• Machine Manuals: Develop comprehensive machine manuals for new projects.

Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience working with conveyors and/or packaging machines.
• Solid Works Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Solid-works, ideally using it daily.
• Pneumatics: Experience incorporating pneumatics in machine designs.
• Computer Skills: Good knowledge of computers and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Design for Manufacturing: Experience designing components for laser and water-cut processes is helpful.

• Organized: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Documentation: Ability to create thorough machine manuals and technical data sheets.
