Fawkes and Reece are recruiting for a permanent Mechanical Project Manager to join a highly reputable M&E Contractor in South Wales. Our client designs and specifies both Electrical and Mechanical services for a multitude of projects in the commercial, industrial, government and healthcare sectors – providing an excellent reputation for delivery, quality and reliability of their services

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a growing mechanical division operating not only in the South Wales but across the whole of the UK. This position is immediately available for candidates with experience of managing a range of commercial projects from concept design stage to completion and post-handover requirements.

As Mechanical Project Manager other members of the team to ensure we build and maintain our already strong working relationships with contractors, clients and colleagues. As a Mechanical Project Manager you will be overall responsible for ensuring that the given projects are completed in accordance with the specification and drawings, to a high standard, within the allocate time schedule and within budget.

Role Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing all aspects of the project at a commercial level dealing with both the site team and the client.
• Managing projects from estimation to completion whilst ensuring the work is completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
• Manage all health and safety aspects for your projects including undertaken writing risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of works. You would be required to manage not only our own operatives, managing subcontractors, ensuring the installation of various packages is compliant with the drawings and specification.
• Responsible for managing the timely procurement of plant and materials within the allocated budgets for the project whilst ensuring all is specification compliant.
• Ensure compliance you will need to ensure you are familiar with the company s latest policies and stay up to date with any changes to company procedures.
• Responsible for ensuring the installation is done to the highest quality of workmanship using our internal QA procedures to record and track the quality process.
• Monitor and report on site progress and support the customer by attending various site meetings. You will be responsible for the commissioning and handover process and work closely with the Quantity Surveyor to track the project financially.

Requirements and Qualifications for this role:

• 5 years Minimum experience as a mechanical Project on large scale commercial projects
• SMSTS or SSSTS
• CSCS Card
• HNC/HND/Degree in Building Services.
• Previous experience of managing a range of subcontractors is desirable.
• Strong leadership skills and be able to work as a part of a wider team is required.
• Must have excellent people management skills and be able to motivate others around them.
• The ability to prioritise, organise and multitask to ensure that timescales are met through effective planning and project management.
• Excellent time management skills, the ability to multitask and have excellent attention to detail.
• Good IT Skills with experience in Microsoft Office
• Hold a full UK driving license.
