This is a new position based at the offices and inspection bays of the Inland Border Force facility located at Sevington, Ashford Kent.
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer
Planned Preventative Maintenance of all HVAC plant
Knowledge of AHU servicing and maintenance
Executing Mechanical and Electrical PPM s
Working knowledge of FCU s, Heat Exchangers, Controls, Electrical distribution
Ensuring that all statutory building compliance is upheld
Attending to breakdowns and failures related but not limited to, pumps, inverters, lighting, valves, actuators, and strainers.
Investigate and report on issues with the BMS systems.
Carry out daily checks on plant and equipment and report issues back to management.
Attend call outs relating to emergency breakdowns on other buildings on the contract when required.
Ability to communicate professionally with all levels and disciplines due to being a very customer facing role.
About You as a Maintenance Engineer
Qualified Engineer with certificates, ideally apprentice trained
Electrical and Mechanical skills
Experience with large scale HVAC systems (Landlord Services)
Minor electrical repairs and upgrade experience
Steady and progressive work history
Experienced in work on large scale building services applications.
Knowledge of BMS systems advantageous
There is a small engineering and facilities team on site and you would be a key part of the team, providing the Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC technical expertise covering the plant for the landlord services.
