Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to provide high-quality support within care homes and home care settings. Responsibilities
Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
Support the implementation of individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, ensuring their comfort and dignity
Maintain accurate records of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures
Assist with light domestic duties including meal preparation and light cleaning
Support clients with medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals
Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery
Drive or accompany clients to appointments or outings when required (driving skills are advantageous)
Requirements
Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is desirable
Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Basic IT skills for record keeping and documentation purposes
Ability to work well within a team and independently when needed
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in following care plans
Valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn driving if necessary
