The role

We have a fixed term contract role for a Finance Systems Change Manger to project manage some of the Finance Systems Change projects. This role will report to the Head of Finance Systems Support & Change. This is a 9 month FTC.

The role will be working closely alongside the Head of Finance Systems Support and Change and the Finance Systems Support Manager as part of the Finance Systems Management team.

Key accountabilities

• Project managing several Finance projects, this includes planning, budget management, risk & issues reporting and resource management for these projects.
• Working closely with the other Project Managers in the Finance Systems Change Team, who will be delivering other finance projects
• Managing the day to day activities of the Business analysts working on these projects to ensure delivery of project outcomes,
• Working closely with Finance SME’s to understand their processes, systems and data,
• Working with the internal IT department, where there are IT components being delivered as part of the Finance Project,
• The Finance Systems Change Manager will collate and co-ordinate all the project updates to feed into the Finance Change Steering Committee (monthly).
• Ensure that any project deliverables will be co-ordinated to assess and handover any impact on Finance Systems Support.

Skills & experience

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least 5 years post qualified experience
• Finance change experience, and
• Financial services, preferable insurance, experience.
• Excellent organisational skills, particularly planning and management skills,
• Excellent people management skills to deliver the best from your direct reports,
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to relay information clearly and concisely in both written and verbal communications
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships,
• Attention to detail an understanding of Finance data, systems and processes
• The ability to work in a fast paced, time sensitive environment where meeting tight deadlines is critical
• Ability to work independently and as well as part of a team.
