Spillard Safety Systems are the market leaders in vehicle safety systems, due to continued growth with further growth expected over the coming years we are now looking to add additional field service engineers to our team.
Working throughout the UK you will be a customer focused individual, delivering nothing but a first class service to an array of customers within the construction and commercial vehicle sectors. The role will involve extensive travel throughout the UK and time away from home. This is a rewarding role with a business that is at the forefront of what they do.

Field Service Engineer – Role and Responsibilities
Carry out installations throughout the UK at various customer sites and locations, installing a range of equipment from vehicle CCTV systems, through to radar and warning systems.
Install equipment top the highest standard to avoid revisits, maintaining the get it right first time approach.
Develop relationships with key customers and business stakeholders to ensure the customer is receiving a first class service.
Attend training and development courses to develop further.
Support customer training and handover when required to do so.
Maintain a safe and professional culture on and off site.
Help train and develop new staff within the business.
Ensure kits and parts are correctly fitted to the correct vehicle.
Ensure that all paperwork / job cards are completed to the highest standard prior to sending to the customer.
Report any issues to management in a timely manner so that solutions / a plan can be put into place.
Ensure that workmanship is to the highest standards.
Work to and follow guidance on installs, ensuring a consistent approach across all installs.
Be confident in carrying out diagnostics and repairs.
Happy to drive and stay away from home as and when required.
Happy to work 1 in every 4 Saturdays as a part of a rota system with fellow engineers.
Field Service Engineer – Essential Requirements:
Knowledge of the heavy plant / commercial vehicle sector
Computer literate Email, Internet, Systems, Excel, Word
Happy to travel and overnight stays when required
Good geographical knowledge
Excellent attention to detail
Commercially Aware
Highly developed problem solving skills
Team Player that engages well at all levels
Highly organized
Level 2 or 3 in auto electrics discipline
Excellent customer facing skills
Full UK Driving License
Good time management skills and work ethic
Desirable:
Knowledge of the software Big Change
