Design Estimator required for a leading fire and security company. Our client provide a wide range of fire and security solutions including design, maintenance and installation across fire and security systems. Our client are in a period of growth and are looking for a design estimator to design and estimate fire systems. The design estimator will have technical knowledge of fire alarm panels. Integrated security experience is beneficial.

Our client are based in Kent and the designer estimator role is mostly office based with some site visits. The ideal candidate will be based within a commutable distance to their office.

Design Estimator Position Overview

• Design Estimator required for a leading fire and security company to conduct estimation, quotation and designing of fire systems.
• Reading and understanding client specification, drawings and enquiries
• Estimation and pricing of appropriate quotations ensuring they are technically and commercially correct
• Producing professional, high quality quotations and technical submittals with all technical and commercial content
• Working closely with Sales and Estimating Teams, assisting other team members with designs and reviewing technical content / proposals

Design Estimator Position Requirements

• At least 4 years experience working within the fire and security industry
• Knowledge of Fire Alarm panels is required
• Must be able to work under pressure and be flexible to achieve client deadlines
• Excellent negotiation skills
• An in-depth knowledge of current and appropriate fire and life safety regulations is also highly desirable

Design Estimator Position Remuneration

• Salary: £35k-£45k – DOE
