Construction Recruitment Group are recruiting. Our client have been established in 1994, and is one of the fastest-growing utility engineering contractors in the UK, with a successful track record in delivering engineering solutions for leading blue-chip power, water, telecoms, and rail clients.
Responsibilities:
Create and coordinate conceptual engineering drawings using CAD packages.
Develop project plans, including feasibility studies, cost estimates, and timelines.
Ensure projects comply with codes, regulations, and standards; obtain necessary permits.
Conduct site visits to assess progress, quality, and adherence to design specifications.
Work closely with designers and other professionals to integrate project elements.
Monitor project budgets and costs, addressing deviations from the original plan.
Identify and mitigate potential project risks and challenges.
Oversee design progress and manage sub-consultants and contractors.
Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency, and business improvement.
Ensure all safety, quality, technical, and commercial requirements are met.
Support the entire project lifecycle from client engagement to project handover.
Requirements:
Degree in civil engineering or related field.
Proficiency in engineering software and tools (Civil 3D, Telka TEDDS, CityEngine, CAD).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of applicable policies, standards, and legislation.
Experience in railway/energy infrastructure management or similar safety-critical environments.
Excellent time management, self-reliance, resourcefulness, and initiative.
