Site Operative Solutions are currently looking for an experienced Bid Manager to join one of our clients from the Rail Industry.

Responsibilities include:

Maintaining tender database.
Monitoring client procurement online portals.
Obtain bid / no bid decision review.
Create and manage bid plan to achieve maximum scoring to bid criteria.
Bid-Writing.
Arrange and manage commercial terms and conditions review at tender stage.
Managing and communicating mid tender updates.
All bid deliverables, delegation of deliverables support where HSEQ, Technical or Planning Support is required.
Arranging Director(s) pre-submission bid review meetings and arrange tender settlement meetings.
Obtaining and communicating post tender de-briefing with customer.
Handover process deliverables and arranging handover meetings with work delivery teams upon successful contract award.
Assisting internal and external audit.
Maintaining up to date best bid collateral library.
Creating company promotional presentations.
Bid Team performance periodic reporting.
Engage with bid team staff and others to manage and mitigate leave and absence impacts.
Experience led basic HSEQ and Sustainability awareness to ensure quality of submission.

Skills

Proficient use and knowledge of software such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Ability to critique bid deliverables.
Ability to manage staff and other stakeholders.
Well-developed client facing skills with a strong customer focus.
Commercial awareness.
Ability to work under own initiative.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational & planning skills.
Able to balance competing priorities and meet targets.

Previous Knowledge required:

Role related professional qualifications and/or relevant demonstrable professional experience.
Membership of related professional bodies either by professional examination or by experience.
Previous experience in similar role, preferably within the Rail Industry

This is a permanent position with 5 days in the office, no hybrid working
