Architect/ Architectural Technologist – Canterbury

This Canterbury-based practice is seeking a talented Architect/ Architectural Technologist to join their team. The ideal candidate will work on a series of small to medium scale residential and commercial projects, where the successful candidate will be expected to run between 2-5 projects at any one time, varying in scale from £200k – £2m.
You will be working closely with other experienced architects while developing your skills, producing high-quality design solutions that meet the ambitious standards of the practice. This role is ideal for a motivated and creative individual looking to gain hands – on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior architects and designers on a variety of projects
• Assist in developing architectural plans and designs
• Utilise software tools such as AutoCAD and SketchUp
• Participate in project meetings and provide creative input
• Conduct research on material and building techniques
• Assist in the preparation of presentations for clients and submit planning applications

What you’ll need to succeed

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong understanding of architectural principles and design concepts
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to also work on their own
• Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
