					<br />  About the role  <br /><br />Balfour Beatty is currently seeking a Design Delivery Manager - Substations P&amp;C to join their Power T&amp;D team.<br /><br />Role purpose: <br /><br />Ensure that competent resources are available to deliver design for our projects.<br /><br />The Design Delivery Manager is responsible for managing a discipline specific delivery team:<br /><ul> <li><br /></li> <li>Providing strategy, management and leadership to the team across UK and worldwide offices.<br /></li>  <li>Promote cooperation between the different teams and wider stakeholders.<br /></li>  <li>Promote a proactive team culture which ensures shared learning and best practice, good communication, work across boundaries and recognition of success.<br /></li>  </ul><br /> What you'll be doing  <br /><br />Key Accountabilities: <br /><ul> <li><br /></li> <li>Discipline's resourcing, management and people / team development, including but not limited to ensuring enough and competent staff for delivering the discipline's current and future workload<br /></li>  <li>Managing the discipline's workload across the interface locations (UK, EDC, other) in collaboration with the local Team Leads.<br /></li>  <li>The team's productivity and performance - specifically relating to the design delivery process.<br /></li>  <li>Profit and Loss across the discipline - acting to ensure that opportunities are maximised through productivity of staff across all locations.<br /></li>  <li>Ensuring tender inputs produced from the discipline capture keys opportunities and risks and provide realistic pricing estimations.<br /></li>  </ul><br />Key Responsibilities: <br /><ul> <li><br /></li> <li>Responsible for nominating the Lead Designer and any other required key roles for each project, as well as for general work allocation within their team.<br /></li>  <li>Ensure a high level of teamwork and cohesion between staff is maintained at all times regardless of location.<br /></li>  <li>Work in close collaboration with the discipline Chief Engineer for developing and maintaining team's technical competencies and expertise.<br /></li>  <li>Set the strategic direction for their discipline in line with department procedures and with support from the Design Senior Leadership Team.<br /></li>  <li>Support Lead Designer during tender development. 					<br />  About the role  <br /><br />Balfour Beatty is currently seeking a Design Delivery Manager - Substations P&amp;C to join their Power T&amp;D team.<br /><br />Role purpose: <br /><br />Ensure that competent resources are available to deliver design for our projects.<br /><br />The Design Delivery Manager is responsible for managing a discipline specific delivery team:<br /><ul> <li><br /></li> <li>Providing strategy, management and leadership to the team across UK and worldwide offices.<br /></li>  <li>Promote cooperation between the different teams and wider stakeholders.<br /></li>  <li>Promote a proactive team culture which ensures shared learning and best practice, good communication, work across boundaries and recognition of success.<br /></li>  </ul><br /> What you'll be doing  <br /><br />Key Accountabilities: <br /><ul> <li><br /></li> <li>Discipline's resourcing, management and people / team development, including but not limited to ensuring enough and competent staff for delivering the discipline's current and future workload<br /></li>  <li>Managing the discipline's workload across the interface locations (UK, EDC, other) in collaboration with the local Team Leads.<br /></li>  <li>The team's productivity and performance - specifically relating to the design delivery process.<br /></li>  <li>Profit and Loss across the discipline - acting to ensure that opportunities are maximised through productivity of staff across all locations.<br /></li>  <li>Ensuring tender inputs produced from the discipline capture keys opportunities and risks and provide realistic pricing estimations.<br /></li>  </ul><br />Key Responsibilities: <br /><ul> <li><br /></li> <li>Responsible for nominating the Lead Designer and any other required key roles for each project, as well as for general work allocation within their team.<br /></li>  <li>Ensure a high level of teamwork and cohesion between staff is maintained at all times regardless of location.<br /></li>  <li>Work in close collaboration with the discipline Chief Engineer for developing and maintaining team's technical competencies and expertise.<br /></li>  <li>Set the strategic direction for their discipline in line with department procedures and with support from the Design Senior Leadership Team.<br /></li>  <li>Support Lead Designer during tender development. 					<p>Customer Service Coordinator - 18 month Fixed Term Contract</p><p> </p><p>A regional house builder have a requirement for a Customer Service Coordinator to join their customer care team to support remedial works on new build housing developments in the North West area.</p><p> </p><p>Reporting to the Head of Customer Service, your duties and responsibilities will include:</p><p> </p><ul><li>Responsible for ensuring defects are attended to in a reasonable timescale</li><li>Promote client interface e.g. Building Housing Managers and Maintenance Managers relationships</li><li>Promote a culture of cost control and recovery on site through specification of works and adherence to contract charge procedures</li><li>Be an ambassador for the company and attend appropriate corporate and handover events</li><li>Develop new ideas to improve the quality of build and after sales service</li><li>Plan, prioritise and organise workloads on a daily basis</li><li>Conduct handovers (developing a demonstration role), pre-sale and 12 month close of defects inspections on shared ownership and outright sale products</li><li>Specify remedial works, allocate appropriate subcontractors and supervise this up to completion</li><li>Prepare and submit progress reports to the Customer Care Manager</li><li>Maintain accurate audit trails and ensure documentation is filed in an organised manner</li><li>Assess performance and work quality of subcontractors, and report issues to the Customer Care Manager</li><li>Ensure improvement in customer satisfaction ratings</li><li>Ensuring compliance at all times with Health and Safety procedures</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Knowledge Skills and Experience </strong></p><p> </p><ul><li>Ability to think strategically and coordinate complicated work programmes</li><li>Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with internal and external customers</li><li>Confident and able to demonstrate excellent negotiation skills</li><li>Ability to communicate at all levels</li><li>Must be able to stay calm, professional, efficient and display patience when dealing directly with customer complaints</li><li>Recognise the importance of customer service and meet the standards required when dealing with both internal and external customers</li><li>Ability to run, organise and prioritise - paying attention to detail in a methodical manner</li><li>Good technical knowledge of various trades, including electrical, plumbing, and specific understanding of defects and specification of remedial works</li><li>Able to evaluate and assess technical and commercial issues and make informed decisions</li><li>Self-motivated, working as part of a team under own initiative</li></ul><p> </p><p>This will be an 18 month fixed term contract (until December 2026).</p><p> </p><p>In return for your skills the company are offering a competitive salary and company benefits including a pension scheme, 26 days holidays, 9-5pm (37.5 hours per week), free parking.</p><p> </p><p>If you are interested in the Customer Service Coordinator role, please contact Deena at Fawkes &amp; Reece or apply via the link provided.</p>
