Site Reliability Engineer – DV Cleared

Location: London (Westminster)

Contract: 6 months+

Rate: 700 – 725 per day pay inside ir35

UKIC DV clearance required for this role

Responsibilities:

Monitor various pipelines/feeds/portals – raise issues when they occur and resolve if possible. If issue cannot be resolved, direct it to the right developer/teams within the Product group
Automation of engineering processes to optimise and improve efficiency, where possible
Maintain client environments, licences updates, support planned outages
Maintain and support monitoring tools and applications
Release – manage and orchestrate the release from multiple teams/developers to the point of handover i.e., start of monitoring of new capabilities
Version control, unit testing, integration testing, UAT testing
Writing and testing code/scripts, refining existing code, peer review and release whilst improving collaboration, efficiency, and quality throughout the software development
Research, design and document development of capabilities and applications (for example monitoring tool), investigate issues, resolution of issues and automation of engineering processes to optimise and improve efficiency
LS support tasks for AWS infrastructure
Candidates must be willing and able to participate in an on-call rota which includes evenings and weekends, there is an uplift when on call

Skills required:

Preferably knowledge of Python, Linux, SAS, Oracle DB or working knowledge of databases and SQL with aneagerness to learn new tools and technologies.
Previous SRE/DevOps experience would be desirable. Right attitude to learn new tools and technologies.
The client is in the early stages of moving on from improvised tech to cloud technology (AWS), any AWS observability experience would be desirable too.
