We’re currently recruiting a Project Manager to join our client, a medium-sized high-end main contractor.

The project is a new site starting near Tetbury, Gloucestershire, which consists of a listed building residential refurbishment, value £6m.

Duties

• Manage the construction programme.
• Set clear team goals and manage the team effectively.
• Lead by example, upholding high standards in safety, quality, and client management.
• Conduct regular site meetings to review safety, progress, quality, and coordination.
• Work with the QS to compile risk registers and meet financial targets.
• Record and report delays, ensuring timely issue resolution.
• Produce accurate financial forecasts and updates.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners, fostering open communication.
• Anticipate project challenges and provide cost-effective solutions.
• Create and monitor contract programmes, ensuring achievable targets.
• Plan resources and procurement in collaboration with the QS.
• Oversee subcontractor selection and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date project records and ensure timely delivery of handover documentation.
• Set and enforce high safety and environmental standards in line with company policies.
• Develop and implement project-specific HSE plans.
• Review and guide subcontractors method statements for safe practices.
• Conduct regular safety and environmental inspections.
• Perform roles such as Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor as required.
