New Opportunity for a Site Manager (M&E experience) for an opportunity in the Elgin & Moray area
Your new company
You will be working for an established construction company who have new contract wins in the Elgin and Moray area. Joining them as a Site Manager you will manage high value projects, including refurbishments, extensions and M&E upgrades and installations. This is a permanent opportunity with an attractive salary package.
Your new role
In your new role as a Site Manager, you will be locally based in the Elgin area and work on one or two construction projects to provide Site Management expertise. As a central point of contact, you will demonstrate excellent communication skills as you will be a key point of contact with the client, design team, subcontractors and your own wider team internally. Working to adhere to health, safety & environmental regulations and promoting safe working practices on site and throughout the subcontractor network, you will hold responsibility for managing risks on site. As part of your role, you will review and organise permits to work, risk assessments, method statements, prepare for audits and keep all site documentation completed, organised and up-to-date. You will oversee all construction activities on site. This work includes large scale and high-value mechanical & electrical improvements and installations. Therefore, you will be managing specialist subcontractors and providing expertise.
What you’ll need to succeed
This role will require you to have a previous track record in construction site management, with particular emphasis on projects involving M&E works. Experience in the distillery or energy sectors would be preferred. Ideally, you will have a formal qualification in a construction management or building services discipline. This role will require you to work well as part of a team to collaborate in the pre-construction and design phase through the site delivery and handover phases of the project. You will provide technical advice and guidance to the team and client as the project progresses. This role is based in the Elgin area, with travel across the Moray region, so it would be advantageous to be based in this area. You must hold a full driving licence as travel from site to site is essential.
