Senior Surveyor / Associate Director – East London / Essex – c£75k base + Bonuses & Shareholding

We’re working with a well-regarded, long established independent property consultancy specialising in Commercial and Residential Management, Agency and Surveying, working out of East London offices covering local postcodes as well as North London, Essex and the inner M25 generally.

With their current Head of Surveying due to retire in the next year, they now seek to hire a successor (in order to allow for a timely and thorough handover) as follows:

• MRICS/FRICS qualified with 5-10 years PQE minimum (no requirement for VRS – our client does NOT undertake valuations)
• Extensive, broad Building Surveying experience (ideally exposure to all but certainly expertise / a strong focus in some – Surveys, Inspection, Project Management, Building Consultancy etc )
• Business savvy / commercially aware, able to maximise revenue from existing, long term clients whilst identifying new opportunities in the wider market (drawing on your expertise and connections)
• Stable career history with evident progression and a clear track record of success
• Working with the MD to decide upon and implement business strategy whilst maintaining a hands on approach to fee earning and staff management
• Providing technical guidance and expertise across the Surveying operations of the business
• Diverse workload ranging from privately instructed L2 & L3 reports through to Project Works and Building Consultancy
• ZERO Lender valuations (our client is NOT a panel firm and does NOT undertake high volume, “tick box” reports for mortgage purposes)

The successful Senior Building Surveyor / Associate Director can expect a basic salary up to £75k, bonuses, car, and once settled, a shareholding / equity.
