Job Title: Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager
Location: Dartford, Kent (Office-based, 5 days a week with flexibility depending on project stage)
Salary: 75,000 – 85,000 per annum

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager to join one of our clients team based in Dartford. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on exciting projects with a focus on commercial, education, and healthcare sectors.

Role Overview:
As a Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will oversee the delivery of multiple projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage project teams, liaise with clients and subcontractors, and be responsible for all mechanical aspects of the projects. Your commercial site experience will be essential in ensuring the smooth running of operations, while your leadership skills will help guide and mentor junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of mechanical contracts across various sectors, including commercial, education, and healthcare.
• Ensure that all projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, while meeting all quality standards.
• Provide leadership to project teams, including engineers and subcontractors, to ensure efficient coordination and smooth execution of the projects.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Monitor project progress, identifying and resolving any issues or delays.
• Manage procurement and subcontracting processes, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare and manage project reports, including financials, schedules, and health and safety compliance.
• Oversee the risk management process and ensure project documentation is up to date.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager with a strong background in commercial site projects.
• Previous experience managing large-scale projects, ideally in the education or healthcare sectors.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage project finances.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Outstanding communication and client-facing abilities.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems, building services, and project management.
• Ability to adapt and be flexible depending on project requirements.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience working on education or healthcare sector projects would be an advantage.
• Proof of industry qualifications
• Experience with health and safety regulations in construction environments.
