Senior Estimator

We are currently seeking Senior Estimator to complement our clients commercial team based in Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire. The candidate will be ambitious and driven with an in-depth knowledge of construction.

The Role:

• Manage the pricing function for contracts ranging from small works to multimillion pound developments.
• Generating new business and proactively following up all leads.
• Interaction with clients, suppliers and contracts team, negotiating at all levels.
• Preparation of tenders whilst ensuring commercial issues relating to tenders are addressed.
• Drive the tender submission process to improve accuracy, turnaround times and win-rates.
• Handover meetings of successful tenders to contracts team.
• Coaching and mentoring estimating team.

Personal Requirements

• Enthusiastic and driven with excellent communication skills
• Excellent eye for detail and a comprehensive approach.
• You will be highly experienced in reading and accurately interpreting drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience in tendering for civils and main contracting
• Experience of various construction methods
• Highly motivated and organised individual
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Experienced in accurately measuring quantities from construction drawings.
• Good understanding of commercial issues relating to tenders
• Competent in the use of computer packages.
