Salary: 45,000 – 55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Systems Estimator to join our customers growing team based in North London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating for security systems, with expertise in HikVision, Comelit, Paxton, KMS, Entrotec, Videx, and Intratone. Knowledge of fire and intruder alarm systems will be considered a significant advantage.

The role requires experience in tendering, including familiarity with construction projects and frameworks. You will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive estimates for the installation and maintenance of security systems across various sectors, including residential, commercial, and industrial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for the supply, installation, and maintenance of security systems, including CCTV, access control, intercom systems, and related security equipment.
• Work closely with sales, design, and technical teams to understand project requirements and ensure estimates meet client specifications and budget.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, equipment, and subcontractors, ensuring all quotes and costs are competitive and realistic.
• Review tender documentation, drawings, and site surveys to produce clear and accurate estimates.
• Manage the tender process, including the preparation of bid documents, submission of proposals, and follow-up with clients and contractors.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of tendering procedures, particularly in the construction sector, and contribute to the successful completion of projects under various frameworks.
• Assess project scope, timelines, and resources to ensure that proposals are delivered on time and within budget.
• Stay up to date with industry developments, product innovations, and standards to ensure the best solutions are proposed to clients.
• Provide technical support and advice to clients as required, ensuring that solutions offered meet their needs and expectations.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes and systems.
• Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals, presenting estimates to clients in a professional manner.
• Liaise with project managers and installation teams to ensure smooth project handovers and implementation.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in estimating for security systems (CCTV, access control, intercoms, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of key security systems brands, including HikVision, Comelit, Paxton, KMS, Entrotec, Videx, and Intratone.
• Solid experience in tendering for security systems, with a strong understanding of the tender process in construction and related sectors.
• Familiarity with construction frameworks and framework agreements is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with estimating software and tools.
