We’re recruiting talented Sales Consultants to join our highly successful Retention team in Tunbridge Wells on a permanent, full-time basis. You’ll be an essential member of the team; talking to customers as they approach their annual renewal. You’ll listen to our customers’ needs and provide suitable cover options offering tailored solutions to help them renew and retain their healthcare.
You’ll need to be comfortable having sensitive conversations and taking an empathetic approach, translating factual and complex information in a simple way, converting these enquiries into both sales and retention opportunities through building rapport and active listening skills.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. After your initial training period of 6 months, you’ll work at least 40% of your week at our Tunbridge Wells office.
Working Hours & Shift Pattern: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, rotating shifts Monday to Friday between 8am and 7pm with some Saturday 9am to 1pm shifts.
Induction & Training:
Induction Date: 28th October 2024
When you join us, you’ll be given extensive training on our products and tools to ensure you have the knowledge and skills to succeed. You’ll receive one to one coaching sessions, take part in role plays, and even listen to live calls. Our sessions will help to motivate and inspire you as well as support you with your sales and retention techniques.
Providing a Career Development Framework that is reviewed every six months for two years with your manager, giving you clear career progression. Full training and support you need to make a difference, no matter the stage of your career.
What you’ll be doing:
Talking to customers (using a call guide) who are looking to review their Private Healthcare Insurance at renewal.
Listening to customers’ needs and providing suitable cover options by offering tailored solutions.
Having sensitive conversations and displaying empathy.
Translating factual and complex information in a simple way.
Converting sales opportunities.
Building rapport with customers.
Working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

What we’re looking for:
Experience in a customer facing role either in person or on the telephone.
Ability to connect with a variety of people over the phone and via email, translating complex information in a simple way whilst following a call guide.
Customer focused, with the ability to show empathy and build rapport, listening and assessing situations quickly whilst conducting yourself in a professional manner.
Receptive to regular coaching and feedback given by your managers, taking accountability for your own self-development.
Resilient and ambitious with a determination to succeed.
Highly adaptable to change and managing multiple priorities.

This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.

Competitive annual salary starting from £28,000 up to £31,737 dependent on experience.
