The Opportunity
Due to a desire to grow the current team, our client is looking for a well-established and driven Project Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. As Project Engineer you will be working alongside a team of successful Engineers, supporting on high value Capital Projects on site.

Your duties and responsibilities will be

• Follow our FEL process to implement small to medium capital projects (
• Support all phases of the project(s) including feasibility, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover ensuring all required deliverables are completed to plan and budget.
• Projects will be predominantly chemical process orientated on a high hazard plant (COMAH-like) but may also include infrastructure and utility upgrades.
• Utilise various project models such as EPC and EPCM tailored to suit the specific requirements of the project.
• Support department initiatives to drive improvements in our standards and ways of working on capital projects.
• Support production engineers, maintenance, and other plant functions when needed, for both capital and non-capital improvements.
• Participate in our various SHEQ initiatives and be part of our Safety-First culture.
• Ensure capital projects are compliant with applicable regulations and standards including process and functional safety.
• Participate in our Continuous Improvement program to help achieve business targets.

You will have the following qualifications & experience

• Degree in a Chemical or Mechanical Engineering discipline or a similar relevant qualification.
• Demonstrable success in managing capital projects in a manufacturing, process or production environment.
• Excellent technical and engineering skills, communication skills including leading group meetings, and supervising/managing project teams of all fields including contractors.
• The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and use problem solving tools.
• The ability to manage and organize time, interact with people from all levels of the organisation and capable of sustaining a drive for excellence.
• Ability to communicate clearly by written and verbal reporting and possess above average fluency with technical software.
• Attention to detail should be an ingrained behaviour.

It s great if you also have the following

• Experience working on a Top Tier COMAH site.
• Previously experience of working within a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
