Production Supervisor
Job SpecificationKey ResponsibilitiesPerformance & Operations

The role will involve as follows:

• Ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met.
• Monitor shift performance and report accurate data.
• Manage resources effectively to meet production targets.
• Address and resolve production issues promptly.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities.
• Conduct audits and ensure adherence to standardised work processes.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)

• Promote and enforce company health and safety policies.
• Take appropriate actions for non-compliance.
• Ensure adherence to all safety procedures and policies.

People Management

• Maintain a strong floor presence with daily team engagement.
• Plan and allocate workforce effectively.
• Coach and support team members to enhance performance.
• Manage absenteeism and ensure payroll deadlines are met.
• Enforce company policies, including working hours and break times.

Team Development

• Support recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
• Develop training plans to enhance team skills and autonomy.
• Conduct annual performance reviews.
• Recognise and reward individual performance.
• Facilitate effective communication within the team through regular meetings.

Teamwork & Communication

• Ensure seamless handovers and information flow between shifts.
• Arrive early to coordinate with the previous shift.
• Collaborate with other supervisors to improve overall performance.
• Report on key achievements, challenges, and action plans.

Job Details

• Salary: Very competative
• Holidays: 25 days + 8 bank holidays
• Pension: Starting at 3%

Person SpecificationExperience & Skills:

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement processes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage resources effectively and drive performance improvements.
• Basic understanding of health & safety regulations and quality management.
