Production Operator

Our client, a prominent company in the food processing industry located on the outskirts of Scarborough, is committed of delivering high quality products while upholding the highest standards of safety and efficiency. They are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Production Operator to join their small, friendly team. Please note that own transport is essential for this position.

Production Operator Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor production equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards.
• Assist in the processing and handling of grain and other food products.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery as necessary.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and improve processes.
• Positively contributes to the continuous improvement activities
• Undertake process checks and samples throughout the production process
• Ensure that there is a comprehensive (i.e. documented) handover to other operators at shift handover times

Production Operator Key Skills

• Previous experience in manufacturing, food processing and handling.
• Competent knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work in a challenging environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Basic food safety & SHE qualifications / willingness to work towards the achievement of these qualifications
