An exciting new opportunity for a Category Officer has been created to join a well-known public sector organisation based in Maidstone, with a salary of circa upto 40,000. The Procurement Officer will support a specific category and report directly to the Procurement Category Manager for that category.
Role Responsibilities of the Procurement Officer – Procure & mobilise new contracts using Public Contract Regulations – Assist with contract management – Provide supplier analysis and work with suppliers to achieve best value in procurement. – Support the category manager in designing and delivering procurement strategies
Experience Required of the Procurement Officer: -Experience of public sector procurement -Experience of public contract regulations -Experience of utilising call off frameworks
This position would be suitable if you have experience in Public Sector purchasing, procurement or supply chain as a buyer, senior buyer, procurement officer or category officer.
