Our Client;

We are thrilled to be working alongside a genuine leader within the medical device design and manufacturing industry, who are looking to expand their highly innovative and successful engineering team by appointing a Process Engineer.

The Role;

• Manage and lead process improvement projects, including defining project scope, timelines, and resource requirements, monitoring and reporting project progress, KPI’s monthly.

• Investigate any machine, process, or product performance problems. Carrying out root cause analysis and implementing permanent solutions.
• Generate and execute validation protocols when needed to provide documented evidence for the introduction of improvements.
• Manage quality activities from execution to completion ensuring all tasks are undertaken and completed to cGMP, Owen Mumford, and Customer requirements.
• Monitor progress of projects ensuring timescales are maintained and current status communicated to other sections of the Operations Team.
• Liaison, steering and motivation of associates to achieve project requirements and approved documentation.
• To ensure appropriate handover packages are compiled, generated and transferred into manufacturing to ensure smooth handover and compliance in production

Key skills & experience required;

• Degree or HND qualification in an engineering discipline.
• Green belt in Lean Six Sigma.
• Practical skills working on Electrical and Mechanical equipment.
• Experience of using lean manufacturing tools to analyse problems and implement solutions.
• Technical report and work instruction writing skills
• Experience of quality management systems associated with the medical device industry.
• Highly organised, motivated and with attention to detail

• Good working knowledge of automatic, manual assembly processes and PLC / Vision systems (Siemens./ Allen Bradley, Cognex, IVS, Keyence) is highly desirable.
