Role: AVEVA PI Consultant
Location: Remote (WFH)
Salary: £70,000-£80,000 (DOE)
Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing SME, specializes in delivering cutting-edge industrial software, hardware, and services across manufacturing and infrastructure sectors. They are seeking a technically adept and personable AVEVA PI Consultant to join their team and help drive the business forward.

The ideal candidate will be based in the UK or Ireland and will be required to visit client sites once or twice a month.

Essential Experience:

• In-depth knowledge of the AVEVA PI portfolio, from value proposition to delivery, including AVEVA CONNECT, Datahub, and OSI OCS
• Strong understanding of communication protocols and data interfaces (e.g., OPCUA, MQTT), with the ability to configure and troubleshoot systems from PLCs to ERP solutions
• Proven experience developing and supporting advanced PI solutions
• Proficiency in Python scripting
• Familiarity with structured programming languages
• Expertise in configuring and working in virtualized environments
• Hands-on experience with APIs and PI System Access (PSA)

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Exceptional communication skills, with experience engaging with C-level executives
• Exposure to pre-sales environments
• Comprehensive experience across the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to commissioning
• Ability to assist with SCADA consultancy and project delivery when required
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Reporting Services (desired)

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze customer requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions for AVEVA PI products
• Design and propose robust solution architectures that meet customer needs
• Conduct PI health checks and deliver thorough obsolescence, security, upgrade, and governance audits
• Provide ongoing technical support, resolving issues and identifying new opportunities for customer growth
• Engage effectively with customers, from engineers to senior executives, both technically and commercially
