Your new companyMy client is a large public sector organisation who is looking for a number of Operational Support Team leaders/Managers.Your new roleMy client is seeking four highly skilled and motivated Operational Shift Managers to join the Front Office team. Each Shift Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of activities and services. This position requires hands-on management of Executive Officers and Administrative Officers during each shift, ensuring minimal dwell times for drivers and the achievement of performance metrics. The role also involves producing detailed shift reports and managing onsite relationships with HMRC to ensure effective operational processes.

• Shift Management:
• Oversee and manage the performance of Admin officers during each shift.
• Ensure that caseloads are effectively handled, and dwell times for drivers are minimised.
• Monitor and ensure that performance metrics are met or exceeded for each shift.
• Reporting:
• Produce comprehensive shift reports with appropriate handover materials.
• Maintain accurate records of shift activities and performance metrics.
• Relationship Management:
• Maintain and manage effective onsite relationships with HMRC to ensure smooth operational processes.
• Act as the primary point of contact for any operational issues or escalations during shifts.
• Operational Excellence:
• Implement best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
• Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks and issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Proven experience in a managerial role within a fast-paced operational environment.
• Experience of managing and leading teams to achieve performance targets.

• Skills and Competencies:
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to produce detailed and accurate reports.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
