The Purpose of the Role
The school wishes to appoint a Premises Assistant to support the Premises Manger in the maintenance, security, and general smooth running of the school grounds, working collaboratively with colleagues as part of a professional team.
This is a full-time, permanent role, working 40 hours per week (with a one-hour unpaid lunch break) Monday to Friday, all year round with occasional evening work. The successful candidate will need to work flexibly, including some weekends when required.
The work will involve maintenance duties including assisting with;
Minor building works and decoration
Operation and maintenance of the swimming pool and heating system
Safety and security of the school premises
Setting up facilities by moving furniture and equipment
Car parking duties on special occasions
Cleaning work
Person Specification
Essential
Must have the right to work in the UK
A positive and hardworking attitude
Good communication skills
Adaptability due to the diverse work that comes with this role.
An awareness of health and safety
The ability to work effectively with others as a competent team member.
Full and relevant driving licence.
Basic knowledge in plumbing, electrical and building skills
Basic computer skills
A minimum in grade 4 in Math and English
Desirable
Experience in a school or similar environment
Competent with Word and Excel
