Internal Sales Advisor – Builders Merchant – Canterbury
The Internal Sales Advisor is responsible for handling all incoming customer sales enquiries, using both internal and external relationships to maximise all potential sales opportunities. The Senior Internal Sales Advisor should be pro-active in seeking out sales opportunities, reaching out to existing customers on a regular basis to drive retention and loyalty.
You will have the opportunity to support and advise customers on their extensive products and service range – no matter how big or small their project is! You will take pride in being an integral part of the team.
So, what are we looking for?
Previous sales experience, preferably within a Builders Merchant though not essential
Proven ability to develop positive customer relationships to enhance business performance
Ability to work as part of a team to enhance business performance
Proven track record of striving to achieve own and company goals/targets
Product knowledge of building materials
Proven track record of influencing key decision makers to ensure customer needs are met
Ability to Solve Problems and offer solutionsWhat will I be doing in the role?
Demonstrate an awareness of and full compliance of company customer service performance measurements to ensure that our customers receive the best service possible
Build and develop customer relationships by providing excellent levels of service
Utilise both the internal (staff) and external (supplier) network to ensure customers’ needs are met
Proactively achieve an increase in active trading accounts by contacting low and lapsed accounts to increase sales
Support new product sales by building customer awareness and using available tools (i.e. customer training courses, product literature)What will we offer you?
