About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to join our high-end gastro pub in Maidstone, Kent. The owner is looking for a Head Chef who can be viewed as a partner, with the potential for profit-sharing for the right candidate. This is a unique opportunity to take the lead in a dynamic kitchen and help shape the culinary vision of a new, exciting venture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the kitchen team, developing and growing your own team.
• Collaborate closely with the Front of House (FOH) team, coaching and inspiring them on food quality and service.
• Design and deliver a seasonally changing menu that highlights the best of Kent s local ingredients.
• Ensure excellent food safety and sanitation standards are met and maintained.
• Effectively manage food GP (Gross Profit) percentages.
• Communicate effectively with all team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Candidate Requirements:

• Ideally from a 2 Rosette background or equivalent experience in High-End Dining kitchen.
• A strong passion for working with local, seasonal ingredients, embracing Kent s reputation as the “Garden of England.”
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a cohesive team.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• A great communicator who can work well under pressure and with others.
