Job Description

Proactively helping the team to develop new and existing client business. This will include risk analysis, preparation of credit committee submissions / presentations, working closely with the Risk team and presenting credit submissions to committees.

This will also involve co-ordinating, supporting and working with the whole deal team.

Managing, instructing and negotiating legal documentation with reference to internal and external lawyers and demonstrating an understanding of Loan Market Association standard documentation

Post-completion, ensuring effective portfolio management and coverage handovers of new clients and continue to assist with existing relationships to help ensure the best possible client experience and credit quality

Deliver complex funding solutions for existing and new to bank clients working with colleagues across the structured finance group and other divisions as required. This will include detailed financial modelling, instructing and reviewing due diligence reports and modelling and negotiating financial covenants

Provide business support to the structured finance directors in respect of executing the team’s strategy

Managing and developing a high value, complex portfolio of customers

Ensure that new business meets the appropriate return hurdle rates, enlisting the help of the Relationship team to build the Business Case

Meet assigned team targets for income, whilst maintaining discipline over credit quality

Structure, and negotiate delivery of new lending business, with appropriate structured finance Director oversight, to achieve agreed business targets and behavioural objectives

The Successful Applicant

Track record in financial services in a VP, AD or Director position

Experience in a financial sponsors team preferred

Strong credit skills and a good knowledge of related risk and other financial products

Strong financial modelling skills.

Relevant experience in a Corporate Banking or Corporate Finance environment essential

Subject matter expertise across leveraged finance.

Accountancy qualifications preferred
