An exciting newly created opportunity has landed for a Financial Controller to oversee a thriving Finance department within the Manufacturing industry. This role will not only manage financial operations but also aid in strategic decision-making.

Client Details

We are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller to join our client, a global Manufacturing business based in Kent on a full time and permanent basis. (Accessible from Tonbridge, Maidstone, Ashford and Sussex)

This role requires a regular onsite presence due to the nature of the business but does offer 1 remote day each week, and is best suited to somebody who can drive due to the remote location.

Description

The Financial Controller will work closely with the CFO overseeing all financial operations, and key responsibilities including;

• Management of Finance Assistants
• Assist in Cash Flow reporting and forecasting
• Liaise with Bankers and external credit providers when required
• Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis
• Assist in the preparation of monthly Group management reporting pack
• Monitor and control overhead expenditure
• Support annual budget process
• Assist in annual audits
• Drive improvement in SAP governance and process compliance
• Collate annual statutory accounts, partnering with senior management when required
• Monitor all tax and regulatory compliance issues
• Support implementation projects to upgrade, group wide roll out programme
• Any other ad-hoc requests from the CFO

Profile

The successful Financial Controller will have/ be:

• Formally qualified (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or QBE
• Must have previous Manufacturing experience
• Excellent analytical skills with strong experience of tools such as PowerBI, Tableau or Qlik
• Experience of developing a small team
• Strong analytical skills and high level of attention to detail
• Experience in using SAP is desirable
• Strong understanding of the Industrial / Manufacturing industry / costing experience
• Must drive due to location
