Finance Business Partner

Fresh People are currently looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner for a Fresh Produce Business reporting directly to the Finance Director as their NO 2 based in the Maidstone location . This role will partner the packhouse and production side of the business, providing detailed and in-depth financial analysis and support the farming operations .The role will also require someone to be proactive in supporting, influencing and challenging senior management

The Person

This requires an individual who ACA/ACCA/ CIMA or QBE preferably from fresh produce , agricultural or FMCG Industry with strong interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude to deliver effective business partnering with influential stakeholders as you will be expected to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business through building working relationships at all levels within the company. Must have the ability to work to tight deadlines whilst also managing multiple deliverables with excellent attention to detail with advanced Excel skills .

The Role Requirements

• Be the finance contact to work with the business in order to achieve its financial objectives through financial analysis as well as business insights and solutions.
• Analyse costs and profitability by both crop and site.
• Prepare rate cards for packing jobs and analyse profitability of the packhouse operations.
• Prepare weekly P&Ls for both the Farm and the Packhouse, with detailed variance analysis.
• Partner with the management teams in the business to drive business excellence.
• Proactively challenge senior management and develop and propose financial solutions to address business needs.
• Support in annual costing and budgeting processes, along with standardised costs of production.
• Continuous improvement of processes for efficient and effective financial analysis for commercial and finance teams.
• Support other farming functions, such as accommodation and transport, in order to ensure cost efficiencies are delivered.
• Understand and challenge data sources and assumptions to ensure reporting is robust, consistent and supportable
• Provide critical appraisal of and input to key decision making throughout the production side of the business
• Act as the deputy for the finance director in their absence
