Location: Manchester Airport hybrid

Project: Refit for a Tier 1 Main Contractor
Position: Full Time 2.5 days at the airport

Our client are a premier electronic security company engaged in a high-profile refit project at Manchester Airport for a leading Tier 1 main contractor.

We are seeking an experienced Document Controller to join a team on-site at Manchester Airport. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining all project documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting our team throughout the refit project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and control all project documentation related to the electronic security refit.
• Ensure that all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible to project team members.
• Maintain document control registers and logs to track the status of all documents.
• Distribute documents for review and approval, ensuring timely feedback and compliance.
• Assist in the preparation and collation of project handover documentation.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure adherence to document management procedures.
• Provide training and support to project team members on document control processes and systems.
• Liaise with the main contractor, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding document submissions and approvals.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with document control processes.
• Support the Project Manager and other team members with administrative tasks as required.

Key Skills and Experience Required:

• Proven experience in a document control role within the construction or security industry.
• Familiarity with document management systems and software.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in document control.
