Hamilton Woods Associates are currently recruiting for a Development Officer to assist with the identification and progression of new growth opportunities for an organisation based in Essex.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Development Officer:
- Identify and progress new growth opportunities, focusing on both affordable and market sale options.
- Assist with the delivery of new homes by performing site appraisals, site assembly, resident/public consultation, pre-construction surveys and planning applications.
- Project manage identified projects and initiatives.
- Research land opportunities, planning approvals, and market rents/sales values using online planning portals.
- Maximise the charging capacity for all developments and assist with property charging information.
- Contribute to the delivery of the growth strategy and Corporate Plan objectives.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with developers, landowners, agents, contractors, solicitors, and other teams to support growth.
- Maintain accurate records for all new projects
- Provide project and contract management support to the New Homes team as needed, including attending meetings and assisting with handovers.
- Assist with invoice processing and cost control
- Liaise daily with residents, owner-occupiers, Local Authority planners, developers, architects, solicitors, councillors, and Homes and Communities Agency.
Essential Requirements of the Development Officer:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience within residential property development
