A managed service provider is looking for a proactive and customer-focused Field-based IT Support Technician with 1st/2nd Line experience to work for their end client. You will be responsible for delivering hands-on technical support to end users, ensuring seamless operation of IT equipment and software. This role requires face-to-face interactions with users, providing not only technical support but also training and guidance on the use of Windows 11 and various applications.
This is a field-based role with travel required between sites. A full driving license and access to your own vehicle is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide 1st/2nd Line technical support, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Device Setup: Assist in the setup of Microsoft Authenticator, InTune, and Company Portal on both iPhone and Android devices.
- Equipment Handover: Hand over new equipment to end users in person, ensuring all devices are fully operational and configured.
- Software Configuration: Ensure Office applications (Outlook, OneDrive, etc.) are logged in and synced on all devices.
- Application Deployment: Deploy applications through the Company Portal on Windows 11 devices, ensuring proper installation and functionality.
- User Training: Provide end-user training on navigating and using Windows 11 (version 23H2), helping them to maximize productivity.
- Documentation: Distribute FAQ documentation and guide users on how to contact the IT helpdesk for further assistance.
- Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date equipment handover checklists and documentation.
Requirements:
- Full driving license and access to your own vehicle
- Proven experience in a 1st/2nd Line IT support role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Authenticator, InTune, and Company Portal setup on mobile devices.
- Familiarity with Windows 11 (version 23H2) and Office 365 applications.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to train and support end users.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
£250 per day inside IR35
