Pay Rate: 33,296 to 41,105 / 16.89 to 20.86 per hour PAYE

Job Description
Vacancies have arisen within engineering maintenance for Craft Technician Electrical. The purpose of the role is the delivery of maintenance. The job holder is responsible for supporting plant maintenance activities.
Key responsibilities
Identify and rectify routine maintenance problems where applicable
Carry out planned maintenance activities and defect rectification efficiently, includes defect investigation of causes and proposal of solutions whilst maintaining a focus on programme and resources
Reinstate the work area after completing the maintenance of plant, systems and components
Utilise diagnostic techniques to identify faults in plants, systems and components
Identify and report common equipment performance issues Identify obsolescence and end-of-life issues
Assess the effectiveness of maintenance procedures and provide required amendments and changes
Produce fit for purpose job reports describing accurately the work that has been carried out, recommendations, solutions, PMI amendment details, conditions assessments, etc
Mentor apprenticeship development and may be an SVQ Assessor
Liaise with suppliers/manufacturers on technical issues
Conduct safe and effective handover of plant and equipment to others and accept and confirm responsibility for the control of the plant and equipment within the work area isolation boundary
Identify areas/opportunities for improvement in processes, working practice, equipment utilisation, etc., offering solutions where appropriate
Perform the responsibilities of management appointments relevant to the post
Hold a relevant disciplined nominated appointment
Aptitudes, qualifications and experience
Electrical apprenticeship plus HNC in Engineering or equivalent qualifications plus experience
Experienced in electrical maintenance
18th edition wiring regulations or a minimum of 17th edition with a willingness to complete 18th edition within 6 months
Good organisational and planning skills
Knowledge and understanding of work control process and safe systems of work
Good safety awareness
Sound interpersonal and communication skills
