Are you a skilled chef with a passion for creating nutritious and appealing meals in a healthcare setting? We are looking for a Chef to join our team at a care home in Erith, Dartford. This role offers an opportunity to make a real difference in residents lives by providing delicious, balanced meals tailored to individual dietary needs.

Key Responsibilities of the Chef role

• Prepare and cook meals to a high standard, ensuring they meet residents’ dietary requirements and preferences.
• Plan and develop menus that are varied, nutritious, and seasonally appropriate.
• Follow strict food safety and hygiene standards in line with regulations.
• Work with the care team to adapt meals as needed for residents with specific dietary needs or restrictions.
• Manage stock and supplies efficiently, ensuring minimal waste.

Requirements for the Chef role

• Previous experience as a chef in a care home, school, hospital, or similar setting.
• Strong understanding of dietary needs, including allergies, dysphagia diets, and modified textures.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in a healthcare environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate and respectful, with a commitment to enhancing the dining experience for residents.
