Job Description
This role is for a design engineer to work on the Heathrow Airport Information and Control Systems (ICS) Projects. The role will be based at Heathrow Airport 3-5 days a week as the projects dictates. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and implementation of structured cabling systems within various construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction methodologies, CDM regulations, and the ability to effectively sequence works. The candidate will be responsible for the design of network solutions involving networking vendor products, cable infrastructure, cabinet designs and AutoCAD drawings. Detailed knowledge of cabling and physical infrastructure standards is required to ensure adherence of all Fujitsu’s designs. The project is involved in large-scale construction work at the airport and adherence to relevant Health and Safety requirements is paramount.

Key Areas of Responsibility
Design of solutions involving network products (e.g. Cisco, Nokia, OTN), Cabling Infrastructure Design and Implementation. Develop and implement structured cabling systems, including:
Ensure all designs comply with international standards such as TIA-568, ISO/IEC 11801, and BS EN 50173. and architectural drawings.
