British Sign Language (BSL) Teaching Assistant

Start Date – September 2024

Location – Swale

Daily Rate – £83 – £90 per day depending on experience

Hours – Full time – 8:30am – 3:30pm

Tradewind Recruitment are actively recruiting for experienced Teaching Assistants who are trained in BSL (British Sign Language). The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting children with hearing impairment. This role has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The role will be on a 1:1 basis to support a secondary aged child with hearing impairments.

Requirements:

• Hold BSL qualification or equivalent
• Experience of supporting children with hearing impairment
• Excellent communication skills as you’ll be working with pupils, staff and parents/carers
• Legal Right to Work in the UK
• Hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
