Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Cost Consultancy
Our client, a Cost Consultancy providing a range of services such as Cost Management, Contract Administration, Project Programming, and Health & Safety across a variety of sectors including Commercial, Legal, Residential, and Aviation.
Due to company growth, they are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team. As the Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for supporting cost planning and estimation, assisting in contract administration, performing on-site assessments, and ensuring financial efficiency throughout each project’s life cycle.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Cost Consultancy
Responsibilities
- Supporting senior surveyors in managing project budgets, cost estimates, and tender documents
- Assisting with contract administration, including preparing valuations and progress claims
- Conducting on-site visits to assess work progress and manage cost control
- Contributing to project programming to ensure deadlines are met
- Assisting in health and safety compliance across multiple project sites
- Building strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Cost Consultancy
Requirements
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Experience in a contracting or consultancy environment (1-2 years preferred)
- Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to work well within a team and under the guidance of senior surveyors
- A proactive and flexible approach to work and learning
